The Mazter at work

The 2006 Phillips Cup brought out the best in club chairman Lee Maslin. The competition run by the Dudley Building Society League has seen some big name winners in previous years though few have dominated the event the way The Mazter did this season, clocking up one single figure win after another, he reached the final and promptly saw off the challenge of club team mate Julie Bullock again running out in single figures. The future of the competition is in doubt due to low entries though the Hilly House continues to support it heavily and this season no less than 8 members were on the scene on the Finals Day.

Joolz working on her delivery

Hilly House's Richard & Julie Bullock have exclusively revealed that they knew the precise moment that the next generation of bowling superstars was conceived. 'We had been trying for a baby since our marriage without success but when Richard leaned back and put his hand to his ear, there was an audible click and I knew straight away.' claimed a radiant Joolz.
Never shy to praise his own performances, Ricoh said, 'My delivery on that day was shear perfection, I just knew that it was on land and all I had to do was wait for the adulation.'

Keith Rowbottom has to decide on his future at the Hilly House following an invitation from the captain of the A' side to join them in a push for promotion.....
