PLAY IT AGAIN JAM
Hilly House B' caused stir in the Dudley League
Division 6 game against Coseley Athletic when the final result
of the game was questioned.
Jamie Beddow who went on 4th for the Hilly House
lost his game 17-21 but when the matchcard came to be signed
after the match Coseley Athletic claimed that the actual score
was 13-21 and therefore instead of a win for the Hilly House it
should have been a win for Coseley.
Following a heated debate it was finally agreed
to replay Jamie's game the following evening starting from 5-9.
The young Hilly House star used his annoyance to
great advantage going on to win the rematch.
After all was said and done Hilly House ended
with an even better points tally than would have been the case
if the card had not been questioned.. Why the offending
matchcard (pictured right) was questioned is unknown ????? |
