Presentation Night

Always A Great Night Out

Disco, Buffet & Presentation of trophies and

prizes to the bowlers who have made the

biggest impact on the club during the year.

I BET THAT YOU LOOK GOOD ON THE DANCE FLOOR

Contrary to popular belief, the 2006 Presentation evening was not a farce and all who made the effort to attend appeared to have a great night out.

The success of the night can be partly attributed to the wonderful disco that was provided. The dance floor was rarely empty except when an inebriated club secretary attempted to glass his 7 year-old son.

GUEST OF HONOUR

The 2006 Dudley & District Bowling League had a surprise ‘guest of honour’, Hilly House’s own, Paul Hickman was handed the honour of presenting the prizes to the league competition winners.
“It was a chore…..sometimes”

RAFFLE PRIZES MISSING

For those who were not called Julie Bullock, there were many prizes still to be won at the presentation evening and the club had one of its best raffle’s of all time.

Prizes ranged from a portable radio to a signed Hilly House T-Shirt and included many bottles of cheap nasty wine and hardcore spirits.

The only disappointment on the night was the lack of the famous Hilly House biscuits.

It was only after the event had finished that the truth about the biscuits was revealed…

Thieves had broken into Linda Wright’s car on the car-park of the venue and had taken both the car stereo and 35 tins of biscuits.

The police have studied the CCTV footage of the break in and are looking for these three men…

PRESENTATION 2007

Doubts remain as to whether the event will take place due to a lack of support from club members, though Mick Stevens has volunteered to take over as organiser for the event.

THE NIGHT’S BIG WINNERS

Amongst the prizes handed out on the night were..

Phillips Cup & Runners-Up trophies, won by Lee Maslin and Julie Bullock

Oldbury Mixed Doubles Trophy, won by Richard & Julie Bullock

PLEASE NOTE

The 2007 Club Presentation Night will not be ‘fancy dress’ and the organisers apologise to the club president for the mix up on the 2006 tickets.

It had been a number of years since the Hilly House Bowling Club had had a season as successful as 2006 and the future continues to look bright with the emergence of the B’ team as a force to be reckoned with over the next few years.
